The Lebu village of Ngor (Ngor means “worthy man” in Woloff) is located in the north of the Cap Vert peninsula, 10 kms away from Dakar, very close to some very attractive locations such as the Gorée island (UNESCO world heritage site) and 7kms away from the Soumbedioune market, and the handicraft market. It is a varied, traditional and popular village just on the opposite of the Ngor island.
Many residents of Dakar as well as expatriates go there to have a nice meal in a relaxed atmosphere.
It is the only fine sandy beach in this part of the Almadies.
N’gor is also well known for its deep-sea fishing : marlin, swordfish, dolphin fish. Besides, fishing and diving, in beautiful waves, are attracting the best world’s sufers .
Less than a kilometer away from N’gor, you could find a multitude of restaurants, but also a casino, nightclubs, and banks
Ngor is located 40 kms away from the Tortoise Village and the Lac Rose, 80 kms away from Saly and 280 kms away from Saint-Louis
